Our Legacy of Firsts
Delta International has been responsible for several landmark commercial
achievements in Pakistan:
– Pharmaceutical Packaging Breakthrough (1984) Introduced coated Aluminum/PVC/PE/PVDC materials, modernizing pharmaceutical packaging and improving medicine shelf life.
– First Soybean Imports (1995) — Executed Pakistan’s first soybean imports from the United States, strengthening the edible oil and oil extraction sectors.
– New Oilseed Origins (1996) — Completed Pakistan’s first imports of Sunflower Seeds from Ukraine and Canola from Australia.
– Pioneering role in supporting the Government of Pakistan (1999), organised the import and distribution of soybeans, soybean oil, and soybean meal from the United States under the US Section 416 grant. Work included close collaboration with the oilseed extraction, oil processing, and feedmilling industries,
while representing Panalpina Inc. in managing all shipping and coordination for these cargoes.”
– First Wheat Export Campaign (2000) — Assisted the Trading Corporation of Pakistan in organizing the country’s first milling wheat export to Kenya and
sourced the largest volume shipped.
