Who we are

Founded in 1981 as a commercial brokerage start-up in Karachi it evolved into one of the market leaders in commercial brokerage and market development in sales of pharmaceutical raw materials, pharmaceutical packaging materials, industrial chemicals, and petroleum exploratory equipment. In 1995 it diversified into agricultural commodities, sugar, soybeans, sunflower seeds, canola, wheat, and fertilizers.

In 1998 -2000 it worked extensively in developing the market for US Corn in animal feed rations as the owner represented the US Grains Council. While opening imports this also help trigger domestic production of corn ultimately making Pakistan a net exporter of corn.

Pioneered several commercial activities in Pakistan, including:

  • 1984-First ever sales of coated aluminum/PVC/PE/PVDC for pharmaceutical packaging, increasing the shelf-life of medicines.
  • 1995 – First ever sales of soybeans to the country from the United States While doing so supporting the underutilized oil extraction capacity of the country and fulfilling the needs of the country for edible oil and meals.
  • 1996 – First ever sales of Sun-seeds from Ukraine and Canola from Australia.
  • 1996 – Granted a Treaty Trader status to develop trade from USA to Pakistan.
  • 2000– Assisted the Trading Corporation of Pakistan which was assigned settlement of grant by the United States under Section 416 program.
  • 2000 – First ever export of Pakistan milling wheat. Exported major quantity of wheat during this campaign for the Trading Corporation of Pakistan.
n 2002, expanding its activities in the region Delta International was closed in Pakistan as the as the owner moved to Dubai UAE and set up partnerships in UAE adding to its trade portfolio, coal, minerals and metals, and petroleum engineering equipment.

In 2018 Delta International resumed its business in Pakistan as representative of Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment of UK.
It also expanded in trade of DDGS, ethanol, gasoline, biofuels, and sustainability and de-carbonization services.
 
 

The firm  pioneered a number of commercial activities including:

  • 1995 – Sales of the first ever soybean seed from the United States hence supporting the under utilized oil extraction capacity of the country and fulfilling the needs of the country for edible oil and meals. This was followed by sales of Ukrainian Sun-seeds and Australian Canola seeds.
  • 2000 – Brought Pakistan to the world map of wheat exporters by assisting the Trading Corporation of Pakistan develop and organize exports of milling wheat from Pakistan. It sourced the largest quantity of Wheat during that campaign.

Delta International resumes its business in Pakistan in 2017. As the baton passes to the next generation, expanding on its portfolio marketing and sales of agricultural commodities, DDGS, chickpeas, lentils, and energy commodities ethanol and gasoline as well as structuring a country representation with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment to deliver Professional Financial Qualifications in Pakistan.
